Re: Hello fellow Linux users!

Hello ninjawarrior and welcome to the forum! I think you will really like Solydxk before and after you have had some time to play around with it awhile. After distro hopping for several years, I believe I have finally found a distro home. :D

Re: Mepis Refugee

Welcome to the forum Mepis Refugee! I usually dont promote other distros on a another distro's forum, but, if you want something Debian based and want something similar to Mepis, have you looked at AntiX 14.2 MX? It is based on Debian "testing". http://antix.mepis.org/index.php?title=Main_Page Howev...

Re: Hello from New York, USA

Hi Bill and welcome to the forum! Fairly new to linux myself and the more I "play" with it the more I like it. I too started off with a buntu of one sort of the other and contined to distro hop for awhile until I "found" SolydX. Since then, SolydX has been my default distro. As for windoze, I cant r...

Re: EdX Introduction to Linux Course

I am presently taking the course "Intro to Linux" and have completed module 14. Very interesting, fun, and have learned quite a few things, being a linux newbie and all. The most dificult things I have found have been "remembering" the commands for the command line parts of the course. I have usual...

Re: [Request] Pale Moon

I just tried using the (Pale Moon Installer) pminstaller-0.1.5.tar.bz2 from the sourceforge link. http://sourceforge.net/projects/pm4linux/files/ in SolydX64. Palemoon installs fine, but the conflict with the GTK2 theme, oxygen-gtk still has not been fixed. I switched to the Adwaita theme and then ...

I agree. It is very interesting and I too would like to see someone accomplish this with a distro based on Debian.

[Request] Pale Moon

I hope this is posted in the correct place. I would like to request to have the Pale Moon web browser added to the SolydXK home edition repositories if possible. If more information is needed on Pale Moon it can be found here. http://www.palemoon.org/

Thanks!

I was able to download and watch the show, but, darn, I missed the interview. Is there anyway/link that I can connect to and view/listen to the recorded interview?

Re: Introduction To Linux Mooc

You can still get honor certificate. When I signed up I went to verified and while signing up there they hid it as a small check box after a paragraph or two describing the certificates. You click the honor certificate box and then click to continue and you can get it that way. I think you can stil...

Re: Introduction To Linux Mooc

Well, I signed up yesterday but waited a little too late. Now when someone signs up they only have two options: audit the course or verified certificate. When the announcement was first made, a person had three choices: audit the course, honor certificate, or verified certificate. I would have...
