As you like being up late, I don't suppose you noticed the scumbag that tired to break into my place the other night? Apparently that was in the early hours of the morning

Re: How long will it take to encrypt a 1TB hard disk?

Whats was the 800gb partition, if it was your home partition might have been easier to have a smaller home and then have a couple of data partitions that you can mount and encrypt as required.

There is nothing wrong with making a mistake, it how we learn. It is more important to learn what you did wrong and how you can prevent it next time. Your lesson to learn here is to have a copy of the file you are editing, that can be either from a copy of the file that you make before editing it or...

Hi FuzzyJ or should I say Kayman? I read this post and then looked at your outstanding post regarding the KDE notifacations (or lack of them), so having a spare couple of minutes I decided to try and help with your issue by searching Google. I was surprised to find a post on the KDE forum with prett...

Re: TeamViewer or another?

I can not see that TeamViewer will help with the install of SolydX on to our friends PC, you need the operating system to be installed before you can install Teamviewer. If your friend has a 2nd PC\Laptop with a web cam you could install Teamviewer onto that PC\Laptop so that you can see the web cam...

Sometimes the problem is knowing exactly which packages to install from Synaptic. Hi jsvenancio, try having a read of the link below https://dflinux.frama.io/thebeginnershandbook/lcdd08-administration/ It not only covers Synatic's but also Apt as well, it does go on to other package managers which ...
