Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

Sorry Grizzler, it was the Github link that Arjen put up, I thought we were downloading the update from there.

It has appeared as an update on my system now but that has brought other issues (see other post) which I need to sort first

Re: Freezing, Apt and SSH issues

Just noticed that there is a 5.2.0-3.1 & 5.2.0-4.1 now available, they were not there yesterday.

My PC boots up faster with the liquroix kernel which is good but I would be happy to sort the freeze out ;)

Re: Freezing, Apt and SSH issues

Thanks for all the Liquorix info, I am now running kernel 5.1.0.20 but it has done absolutely nothing for the freezing problem. The PC obviously crashed somewhere between 6:45 and 16:00 when I got home. Heat wise I know when the PC is getting hot as the fans cut in and make a lot of noise, everytime...

Re: Freezing, Apt and SSH issues

OK I have just had a system freeze, I was actually installing some software at the time of the freeze, Synaptic complained that something had unexpectedly exited (can not remember the file and can not find it listed anywhere). It was then that I noticed that there was very little cpu activity <1% (w...

Re: Freezing, Apt and SSH issues

Thanks Kurotsgui that sorted my synaptic problems, that all back and running ok now. I checked with synaptic and that allowed me to install openssh-server, not sure why apt on the command line stopped me (I did an apt cache search to check the package name but when I tried to install it said the pac...

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

My cli foo is quite ok, thank you very much :ugeek: but my mothers and fathers and friends is not, sadly. Also - if there's no replacement - fixing it for the greater good is what Linux is all about. And takes probably less time than all the support topics that might come up in this forum. This is ...

As you like being up late, I don't suppose you noticed the scumbag that tired to break into my place the other night? Apparently that was in the early hours of the morning
