Re: Network HP LaserJet Printer stopped working (SolydXEE testing)

Well the bug report says you need to update the foomatic driver - did that work? After looking in the bug report it said that it was found in version cups-filters/1.27.1-1 and fixed in version 1.27.1-2, 1.27.2 and the foomatic driver stayed the same as this was verified in my laptop as well. Since ...

Re: Network HP LaserJet Printer stopped working (SolydXEE testing)

it sounds like a configuration issue for me, or an hardware issue. IIRC laser printer needs to be cleaned regularly to get a good print result Except before this bad cup-filter file using foo2zjs has always had a clean print out , just this time is the only time I've uses hplip and I noticed it was...

What about the propietary driver? is hplip still working?
It's not working for me.

Correction, hplip does work, but the print outs are blurry or fuzzy and not clean.

Re: Network HP LaserJet Printer stopped working (SolydXEE)

Thank you, Yes I know that it can and will break, I spent about an hour troubleshooting and the only option I can come up with is that it's a file that was part of an update which is outside of my control and that's the reason for this post as a last resort to inform you guys. Yes, the printer is pi...

Network HP LaserJet Printer stopped working (SolydXEE testing, solved)

I have a HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw Foomatic/foo2zjs-z3 (ZjStream-based printer) on my local wired network with cat-5 cables through a router. The driver is foo2zjs (20171202dfsg0-4) It was working the last time I used the printer but I think there was an update and now it's not working. system-config...

Thanks,

I'll keep it as is until something doesn't work.

Re: I just lost my network connection with the latest updates (SolydXEE)

I had the same problem, and found the solution in the link grizzlelr supplied. https://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2020/02/msg00403.html . Specifically in the the last response. So I removed ufw. Then I purged iptables following this https://serverfault.com/questions/200635/best-way-to-clear-all-i...

Re: I just lost my network connection with the latest updates (SolydXEE)

I'd guess kernel ... did you try booting with the previous one? Also iptables has some bugs presently but I wouldn't imagine a malfunction to totally bork network access. And dmesg cannot be not installed. But it needs sudo. In your post at the top you had an upercase D in dmesg, it's funny in netw...

Re: Autoremove Error Message

Anyway, if graphics work, do you really need to "fix" anything? Since you are on testing I'm asuming that you know what you are doing. Your graphic setup might differ from mine and I'm not on bullseye. I'm mostly just reporting to see if anything is really wrong with the system, if it doesn't need ...

Re: Is there an issue with exim4?

Thanks I'll look into it further.

The error message I posted:

Code: Select all

/usr/sbin/exim4: /lib64/libcrypt.so.1: version `XCRYPT_2.0' not found (required by /usr/sbin/exim4)
says that XCRYPT_2.0 is missing and required for exim4.

If this is a support question we need a lot more information. I did not see that in the OP.

Are you using SolydX, SolydK, the EEs, what fuse packages are installed, etc.
Sorry I forgot.

SolydX EE 11 5.2.0-3 / Debian 5.3.9-3 (2019-11-19) (64-bit) / Xfce 4.14.1 (64-bit), Fuse 2.9.9-2
