Re: New ISOs in ce/testing

Thanks,

I noticed it was no longer in testing, but it's in solydx 8 testing, my system must be old all I had was solydx 8 for a long time until now.

I'll just get it from the stable branch.

Re: New ISOs in ce/testing

So I just installed SolydX EE 10 64bit and there is no issue with an [AMD/ATI] RS880 [Radeon HD 4290] card.

Also I noticed that Chromium is not in the EE repository, where would it be located so I can install it?

Thanks

Re: New ISOs in ce/testing

I guess I'll find out when I install the SolydX EE 10 64bit version.

By the way I noticed in the downloads from the post above that there was no solydx_9_64_201812.iso version, was this on purpose?

Re: Thunar can't handle the load

I installed a few gvfs files like gvfs-backends and gvfs-bin and now after I plug in the phone these pop up: gphoto2://OnePlus_A0001_4cd17553/ mtp://OnePlus_A0001_4cd17553/ I don't even have to mount it manually it just does it, also it transferred 10 gigs of pictures in about 7 min. Thanks for sugg...

Re: Thunar can't handle the load

I use jmtpfs and fusermount to disconnect.

Could there be something wrong with these?

Is there a better way to connect an android phone?

Thanks

(Solved) Thunar can't handle the load

Since the last update to Thunar it gets bogged down and can't handle simple file transfers from my Android phone to my HD, the last version or two did this with no problem.

What is the next best file manager for Xfce that is like Thunar so I can install it and give it a try?

Thanks

Re: Breakage and News tracker for debian testing [buster]

There is a bug in apt-show-versions that breaks apt apt update. There is a workaround posted. This is probably related to the perl transition. Re: netflix on vivaldi

You will need to follow these steps. I just did this the other day and it works. Test your system here - https://demo.castlabs.com/ Download the ZIP file in the following links and put it in your user folder /home/user/ and read the readme files for DRM, run this script - https://gist.github.com/rua...

Re: Setting up L2TP with IPsec

Thanks,

It's working I was just curious because I’m using the routers wifi which comes from my ISP so I’m already connected to it so I think this is why it doesn't work.

Setting up L2TP with IPsec

My router supports L2TP with IPsec and when I'm on travel I want to use it with my laptop running SolydX EE. This does not work at the same time I'm connected to the same router through WiFi but it did work when I used my phone as a hot spot. I can't figure out why it didn't work, does any one here ...

Re: Vivaldi flash plugin

If I understood him correctly he manually changed where Vivaldi looks for the plugin to make things work with his setup at the time and realized just now that solydxk puts the plugin somewhere else. So all is well now I guess. Yes, all is well. Looking back at the issue; after I installed vivaldi b...

Re: Vivaldi flash plugin

It turns out that my Vivaldi first looks to /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin then /usr/lib/pepperflashplugin-nonfree then /usr/lib/PepperFlash for the flash plugin in that order I don't even have a /opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash If Solydx installs it's flash plugin by default to /usr/lib/PepperFlash that ...

Vivaldi flash plugin

I just noticed that my Vivaldi 1.16.1170.3 (Official Build) snapshot (64-bit) did not get it's flashplugin updated automatically when solydxk-pepperflashplugin was updated to 29.0.0.140 Vivaldi reads it's flashplugin at /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin What would be the best way to ensure that when solydx...

Re: Migrating server to Europe

Cleaning up /etc/apt/sources.list and just putting

Code: Select all

deb https://repository.solydxk.nl/ solydxk-ee main upstream import
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib non-free
Fixed all the issues, I'm not sure how my sources.list got so messed up I don't mess with it.

Thanks again
