What mhwelsh stated above and double check that your /etc/fstab has the right UUIDs from your blkid output.

The ISOs are for clean installations. Keeping your system up to date has the same result.

Re: SolydXK 9 released!

Welcome to our forum, jaw2! You cannot use the upgrade script anymore. It can only be used during the stable transition (when Debian testing becomes Debian stable). There is no easy way to upgrade now unless you know what to do when things go wrong. The safest way to upgrade is to do a clean install...

Re: Remove xserver-xorg-legacy

I've removed it from my system and from the ISOs.
The nightlies are now without xserver-xorg-legacy.

I wouldn't like to remove it from the users' systems with solydxk-system. It might break something.

Re: SolydX 201807 install broke grub

you can try using the iso to reinstall grub For anybody who doesn't know how to do that. Here follows a short description of the steps to take to restore boot with a SolydXK live session: Mount root partition: $ live-chroot /dev/sda2 In chroot: compare mounted partitions in fstab and blkid to get /...

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

Funny thing I have with SolydX 10: the welcome screen (solydxk-welcome: 1.6.6) has two scroll bars but just one is functional. Screenshot_20181026_120602.png It doesn't do that in any other ISO i've made. Has anyone seen this on their EE system? [EDIT] It seems that I used a configuration of an obje...

If you are a little skilled with your pc, maybe this will help you:

https://backports.debian.org/Instructions/

Remember: SolidXK 9 is fully compatible to Debian 9 (stretch) :-)
You can also use the SolydXK System Settings application. Repositories tab and enable the backports repository.

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

I finally finished with live-installer-3 and solydxk-welcome. They handle now both WebKit1 and WebKit2, depending on what is available. I've removed these packages from the solydxk-10 repository (not needed anymore): gir1.2-javascriptcoregtk-3.0 gir1.2-webkit-3.0 libicu57 libjavascriptcoregtk-3.0-0 ...

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

I just found out that if you install the backports packages in stretch, I get a JSCValue object back. At least that's not an error :D apt install -t stretch-backports gir1.2-javascriptcoregtk-4.0 gir1.2-webkit2-4.0 libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0-18 libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37-gtk2 I haven't ...

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

I'm afraid those version were removed from buster. They are not available anymore or, in case of libicu57 , not available for for amd64 or i386. The packages I added are from stretch and they at least work on SolydK 10. I haven't had the time to test them on SolydX 10 but I assume there will be no d...

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

WebKit2 is a dead end for now. It seems that it is missing some very needed Python bindings. So, I'm reverting back to WebKit and I will provide the needed packages for solydxk-10: gir1.2-javascriptcoregtk-3.0_2.4.11-3_amd64.deb gir1.2-javascriptcoregtk-3.0_2.4.11-3_i386.deb gir1.2-webkit-3.0_2.4.11...

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues - 2

I found that buster removed WebKit (gir1.2-webkit-3.0) from the repository in favor of WebKit2 (gir1.2-webkit2-4.0). I have to rewrite code for the live installer but it's a lot more complicated than I hoped for. So, for now, you'll have to keep gir1.2-webkit-3.0 on your ISOs if you want to use the ...

Hi r0n, and welcome to our forum. Indeed, SolydXK originates from the Netherlands. However, most of the community who help making SolydXK possible are not from the Netherlands. So, it's more of an international effort. I hope you are enjoying SolydX and please come back here if you have any question...
