Re: SolydXK 9 released!

Not so good though.
Experienced some major issues, after initial successful installation.
Something bad happens even with the access to the partition with SolydX, tried twice, will try to install it third time to register what's possible.

Re: Boot time, RAM use, HDMI connection

Well, it wasn't clear enough.
I don't care so much about boot time as rather the cause of sudden change of it on SolydX.
I'll try to reinstall it from scratch on target partition and see if it makes a difference after a while.

Re: Boot time, RAM use, HDMI connection

you can see what happened at boot by using these commands systemd-analyze critical-chain systemd-analyze blame I'm not quite sure about the first command. you use 'systemd-analyze --help' to get the correct syntax. please show us the result so that we could analyze it. m@t ~ $ sudo systemd-analyze ...

Desktop: When was the last time you saw the real quick boot? While still using the ISO or also after install? After install. Boot time, RAM use, HDMI connection

Hi, Tried some distros, SolydXK seems to have all I need, Debian rock solid stability and speed combined with all useful tools available on spot without wasting time for building the system from scratch. Three things: 1. In the beginning boot time on my desktop was blazingly fast, around 20 seconds....

Re: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 driver - the easiest way to install?

Is there possible that my pc is not OLD ENOUGH to have nVidia driver installed for SolydXK?
Looks like from synaptic debian data base, the newest there is 352 what means it's at least 6 years old.
Well..
