Re: HE to Jessie upgrade

Thanks, guys, for I have a kind of broken / looping upgrade. Some packages take more than half an hour to install, and in the end, I keep receiving the message from my previous post. I'm planning of wiping the hard drive if I cannot resolve this :(

This is not resolved: Os pacotes a seguir serão atualizados: (=the following packages will be updated) a2ps accountsservice acl acpi-support-base acpid alsa-base alsa-utils amd64-mic...

Re: Sources.list

Gonzalo_VC: The repos you have listed are the same ones I currently use for my SolydX 32-bit install. As far as I know, they have not been superseded. Note that, now Jessie is the new Debian Stable, the official SolydXK edition has dropped the "Home" suffix as this is the only edition until the Ent...

Re: Important SolydXK news

Can I do this: change the sources list for: No, you cannot. The home editions are almost two years ahead of wheezy. Changing the sources.list like that, would be an exceptionally bad idea. ...in due course, your Update Manager should advise ... to the new stable SolydXK. Tomorrow and as Jessie isn'...

Re: Important SolydXK news

Sorry if somebody have already asked this, but I'm in a hurry and there are 6 pages of posts here. I'm running SK 64 "home" edition in my production machine at work . What is the best stable move for now: use the new repos for the "business ed."??? Can I do this: change the sources list for: deb htt...

Re: Problem with updatemanager

Rebooting (violently) the PC and running UpMan all over again worked... go figure. But it is not the first time it happens (the freezing) :?

Re: Problem with updatemanager

Guys, again, UpdateManager freezes, stops and stays there, in the middle of the upgrade (now when installing UM 2.4.5).

Re: UP 2014.10.15

Another question: Is it OK, or even more, is it necessary to remove systemd-shim from all machines (X and K, 32 and 64 bits)?? ( systemdcr@p) One of this days... :ugeek: See the OP of this thread .... if the machine in question is running system and if that machine has had the Oct 2014 UP ap...

Re: UP 2014.10.15

There you have it. apt (the main UM window) handles held back packages differently than apt-show-versions (the tray icon). Try to find out why they were held back by reinstalling them. Note that ffmpeg will need the multimedia repository listed in your sources.list But... how comes? ffmpeg ...

Re: UP 2014.10.15

Pretty sure that happens in every UP and is nothing to worry about. Yea. It's OK, here. Thanks. By the way, is this not yet the synchronization between the old Home and Business Eds. into the new "Regular" one, right? Since the repos are changed but there are a lot of "testing", there. So we have t...
