Re: Remastering SolydXK

the remastersys package was/is used by many debian/ubuntu based systems and it works. Not having the ability to remaster an installed installation (I have no interest in creating my own "spin") limits SolydXK. Many of us with multiple computers to manage use this capability to do an install/update/...

Re: Why Ubuntu keeps pulling me back/ 10 things I hate about

I also settled for for SolydK. But the ideea is that almost all of us had our distro hoping period. How else to know the most suitable for your needs system.??! I find SolydK the best for my needs and my desires..... But to be able to recognize that I tested a lot... And testing was also...learning.

Re: Why Ubuntu keeps pulling me back/ 10 things I hate about

Please do not try to sound like a big drama.... Distro hoping is fun. Distro hoping is good for health. Distro hoping will build character. Distro hoping will always be your friend. Distro hoping is the new ''shit''. Distro hoping wants you. Distro hoping needs you. Come on, it is not a big deal. th...

Re: Why Ubuntu keeps pulling me back/ 10 things I hate about

Totally understand your point. After trying many other distros I finally settled to Solydk. I was very sorry for Ubuntu as I like it very much, somehow my laptop do not get along well with Mint, Fedora and openSuse totally disappointed me, Mageia it is ok but has a long way to go yet. Now the primar...

Re: the new ISO

hi Orbmiser, I found a good solution for mounting partition. I am using pysdm. I use separate home partition and once I set everything in pysdm, things went smooth. My only issue is the trash location. I do not know how to put trash in my separate home partition. And I observe another thing: - if I ...

Re: Playing music issue

thank for your opinions.
Soon I will change the hd with a 7200rpm one and I will share the thoughts.
Now I installed a 32bit SolydK. So far it seems a little more fluid, but still some hangs. ( same as discussed earlier).

I will revert soon.
