Re: Installing Win 7 next to SolydK

You have 2 options :

1 after installing Win7 repair the grub bootloader
2 install EasyBCD in Win7, that can also load linux

Info to Google

At Linux Mint forum there is an topic about contacting Google every 15 minutes :

http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=145176

In preferences it looks like you can change google.com to whatever you like, only the script is not changed .....
Does this also affect SolydXK ?

Re: VirtualBox 4.2.18

You also need to install the kernel-headers

Btw, if you add the repo from the Virtualbox site you always have the latest version of Virtualbox

Re: The new iso's are out!

Just started the new torrents.

May I make a name suggestion? The torrents are named latest, why not use the date as a name? For example solydx32-20130622.torrent

Btw, I really love this distribution

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
and then

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install wine-bin:i386

Re: Separate HDD for home and root

As far as I know it's not possible.

Make a /home on the same drive as your /

After installation change the location of /home in fstab to the new location
copy the files from the old /home to the new location and reboot

Re: Ideas & Suggestions for SolydXK

Combine the SolydX and SolidK ISOs
That's a great idea.

And it is possible, Debian and openSUSE have it already ( maybe more distro's, I don't know )
