mysql-workbench from testing

Hi, since the latest up mysql-workbench doesnät work with the installed libglib - but the mysql-workbench package (6.2.3+dfsg-6) (https://packages.debian.org/jessie/mysql-workbench) in testing is patched and all good. So please pull the mysql-workbench and mysql-workbench-data from testing into some...

If you open a terminal and type:

Code: Select all

apt show firefox

Re: UP - 01/10/2014 [TESTING]

Would it solve these issues if I upgrade libglib2.0-0 with sid's version? https://packages.debian.org/sid/libglib2.0-0 Nope - same issue - it's a mysql-workbench bug: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=74147 not much SolydXK can do about. I will have to run my system with 2.40.0 so I can get some wor...

Re: UP - 01/10/2014 [TESTING]

Updated the original post but that might not be visable - so I post the update here as well Hi all, Issues: mysql-workbench (GTK) does not display any results http://i.imgur.com/pDqObCe.png - i tested latest version (had to compile myself) and the one in the repo 6.1.7. Looks like this bug: https://...

Re: The future of SolydXK

Yes with dist-upgrade you can upgrade from one stable debian release to an other. It can work but it can also brake, its not the recommanded way i think. It's is the recommend way of upgrading an debian system from one release to the next. I have a couple of old boxes with debian on that has been d...

Re: UP - 01/07/2014 [TESTING]

Did a upgrade on metal with my old trusted former mint workstation. All well in the end - this time I tried using the UM to upgrade (first time) and something happened and it froze - had to kill a bunch of apt stuff, and then do the remaining from shell (dist-upgrade and run the post-script). No oth...

Re: kdenext going to be dropped

So what will happen when debian will fall behind (again)?

Why can't we have an kde_cutting_edge repo (install at your own risk)?

Re: kdenext going to be dropped

What if the kdenext repository remained as an optional one. Meaning, disabled by default but present in the software sources. This way Solydk would roll out with the super stable and extensively tested Debian version, while offering the option for anyone interested to update it to the latest, cutti...

Re: kdenext going to be dropped

Hi,

I'm going to miss getting the latest and most cutting edge KDE - it's fun and cool to play with the latest goodies.

So I hope that either there will be a way to get the latest KDE anyway (like the testing repo) or that SolydK will revert this change.

Re: UP - 30/11/2013 [TESTING]

Did an upgrade to testing - no issues and everything seams to work.

I have nvidia geforce 650 and didn't do the --reinstall before rebooting - as written in the UP readme (used apt dist-upgrade) and the computer booted up with the correct driver to the new kernel.

Re: UP communication complaints.

I've heard many good responses, and these are the ones that appealed most to me: Decrease frequency of the UP's to quarterly periods (every 90 days). Having 90 days between would need some updates during that time - firefox / thunderbird comes to my mind. I really like SolydXK for the updates (refu...
