For your grub legacy to work you have to do some "mapping". I haven't looked into it for some time, but it will be something like:

title Windows 1
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
map (hd1) (hd0)
map (hd0) (hd1)
makeactive
chainloader +1

I can click on the eject button.

Re: Terminal in KDE - Color Scheme

[soundsfromsound There is alot to go into. See: http://leocharre.com/articles/setting-ls_colors-colors-of-directory-listings-in-bash-terminal/ for a start. In your .bashrc you will find: # enable color support of ls and also add handy aliases if [ -x /usr/bin/dircolors ]; then # test -r ~/.dircolors...

teamviewer (SOLVED)

I am running SolydK64 and am trying to install teamviewer. Looked through the forum and saw someone say to install version 7 not the newer 8.

Tried both and get:
dependency is not satisfiable:lib32asound2

Any way to do this?

Re: Terminal in KDE - Color Scheme

soundsfromsound The color schemes only change the background & text colors in konsole. If you are trying to change the colors for the different filetypes, you have to go into your .bashrc and find where it has color support. If in a terminal you run: eval $(echo "no:global default;fi:normal file;di:...

Glad it helped.

Re: Can't open network file in LibreOffice

Fargo I use smb4k. It will mount a folder from another computer on your machine and you can access your file from there. I have a machine called - old it has a folder called - docs with smb4k it will mount on my "new" machine at: /home/earl/smb4k/OLD/docs/ From LibreOffice I can open the files from ...

CeeCeez

I checked out smb4k on SolydK and it has
smb port: 139
file system port: 445
just like on another distro and I can mount and create and/or copy files with no problem between the two machines.

RcyberN From: System Settings > User Management You should be able to add a user to other groups. Your link above:

You can download the deb file here: http://downloads.solydxk.nl/dev/solydxk ... .2_all.deb

Still points to solydxk-constructor_1.9.1_all.deb

Which will get you nowhere

If you changed to autologin - would you then get in?

File:
/etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc

shows:

[X-:0-Core]
AutoLoginEnable=false
AutoLoginLocked=false
AutoLoginUser=earl
ClientLogFile=.xsession-errors

If that was changed to - true

would you get in?

If you can boot to the cli - can yoy login and run startx ?
If so I would reinstall kdm from synaptic. If you can't get in with startx
at the cli try:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall kdm

smb4k

Just got my machines straightened out from the recent update (nvidia problems) and was doing my minor customizations to them. I noticed that smb4k is not listed in the repositories. Downloaded from Debian and installed, but was wondering if it was purposedly left out or an oversight.
