Re: Videocard Blender

AFAIK you need cuda nvidia to be able to use GPU computing in Blender.
I suggest you do some reading on this subject as it could lead to issues.
If you use search in synaptic for cuda you will find version 5.5. Installing nvidia-cuda-toolkit should be sufficient.

Here's a suggestion.
Apparently the fonts are proprietary so WPS doesn't package them.

Now recommending a little cheating here as been watching SolydXK sliding down from 32 to 35 to 40 for 6 months numbers for last 3-4 weeks.. Be carefull with these actions as they can be more damaging as they are helpfull. Manjaro had some problems lately with people trying to 'pump' distrowatch. It...

changing login screen through system settings is working on my side (asks for password and changes kdmrc accordingly).
Your issue might have another origin.
I have added my kdmrc, just change YOURUSERNAME on 2 places, for comparisson

Please consider posting in the appropriate section. Your question is best posted in the XFCE section with a bit more info.

I use Radio Tray if i want to listen to Netradio. Sits comfortably in the system tray and can be easily configured if you know the stream urls.

Re: Systemback

The older version had .deb files, but the newest version only has PPA installation for Ubuntu (or Mint) so far. I have asked the developer if there will be .deb files for the new version. This looks like it would be very useful and is on my list of things to test. i think this answers your question...

Re: Is additionally installed software updated by UM?

For my purposes the only piece of software that does not fit this approach is XAMPP (for Joomla). Or is there a way to install the separate components Apache with PHP module and MySQL form the repositories that are tested to interoperate smoothly all the way? That would be setting up a LAMP server....

There is no box or option to type anything. In your OP you mentioned SolydX. The above screens were taken from stock 201405 SolydX-live environment in Vbox so either you have a different filemanager or you missed a step. --> navigate to your game directory --> right click on the executable --> clic...
