I'm using OpenGL2.0 in my settings instead of OpenGL3.1. About downgrading mesa... you can downgrade mesa using the synaptic pac...

I can't confirm the problem with firefox (or thunderbird) because I don't use it or have it installed, but the graphical/screen issue appear after the update and now is gone.

Hi. I had a similar problem after the last update (in my case was text overlapping when the window change,ex. in kontact when I switched from "mail" to "contacts" to "task" the window title bar showed the 3 windows titles overlapping (also in chromium when changing tabs..and so on). just to be sure..are you running SolidK32 or SolidK64? I'm running SolidK32 and I can change the KDM login theme without any issue.

Hi.

I had the same problem with SolidK 32 bit after the January (?) upgrade. I don't use the DVD quite often so I only notice the problem now and follow this thread to resolve it... and now it works well.

Txs for the help posted here ( I choose to edit rc.local and use 5000 milisec option)

Yes, Netrunner is an EXCELLENT :) linux distro but for someone like me who has a netbook with only 1 Gb an dlike KDE, I've found SolydK :D and stick with it. I was a Netrunner fun, in fact I still am, but working in a netbook with it can be tricky :? ... but working in a netbook with SolidK it's ama...
