Re: Purging deb-multimedia.org

you're still missing pulseaudio plugin for gstreamer1.0. you'll also need to check whether if you have h.264 encoder in your system. H264 is installed along with pulseaudio, also I made sure all the libavcodec were there as well. Still doesn't work, but I think it's because in testing not all the g...

Re: Purging deb-multimedia.org

I don't have Palemoon but shouldn't it be the same as firefox? FF works ok with gstreamer 1.0, at least mine does. Do you have a video link that does not work? Edit: We had a thread recently about different types of video encoding (with samples) and such ... but I can't find it anymore and the damn...

Re: Purging deb-multimedia.org

I don't have a problem with deb-multimedia I'm just doing some trouble shooting because my web browser Pale Moon just upgraded to Gstreamer1.0 and I'm trying to get H.264/MP4 to work in Pale Moon.

Re: Datamation: Best Linux Distro

That's cool,

That's funny because I have been pronouncing it as Solely-d this whole time.

Re: Datamation: Best Linux Distro

How did you come up with Solyd as the name of this distro?

I looked around on the forum but didn't find anything.

Re: [Request] Pale Moon

Did you upgrade to v26? if so it's a user agent problem, read this link.

It happened to me as well, after I changed the user agent from this link it worked again.

What's the Status of Thunderbird?

I've read that Mozilla is detaching it's self from Thunderbird.

Does this mean that Debian/SolydXK will maintain their own version?

Thanks

Re: stack smashing detected (SOLVED)

I wonder if gstreamer1.0-ffmpeg has been made, Palemoon will not work for H.264/MP4 without it.

Palemoon is having issues supporting gstreamer1.0 because it conflicts with 0.10 which is necessary for them.

Re: stack smashing detected (SOLVED)

UPDATE: My guess was right, Debian Testing files are to new for Palemoon to work when using ffmpeg and gstreamer. I loaded SolydX Debian stable in VirtualBox and added all the right files and Palemoon did not crash when going to the link in this thread. So if I want to use H.264/MP4 in PaleMoon I wi...

Re: Syncing bookmarks in different firefox profiles

You could do it the long way, back up your bookmarks using a .json file to your HD and then import it to every profile you have.

But you would need to do this again every once in a while to update new bookmarks.
