Re: Boot problem - Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(

OK, I'll get the command output when I have the computer with me. 4% was the highest number in the used space column when I checked. I'm quite sure that the disk space is fine, the disk is not partitioned, it's formatted with btrfs mkfs.btrfs /dev/sda There're 2 subvolumes which mount to / and /home...

Re: Boot problem - Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(

Yes, I do have sufficient disk space, only 4% is used. I tried clean installation (disk reformatted) several times, I also used disk manufacturer's utility to zero fill the whole disk multiple times, and ran badblocks destructive write test repeatedly overnight, and the disk passed SMART long test w...

Boot problem - Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

I have been getting this Kernel panic problem lately. This problem doesn't happen if I go to grub edit (by pressing e) and then press F10 without making any change. I go to grub edit and exit (ESC), and then press enter to boot. This problem still happens if I stop the grub timer and wait a bit (fro...

Re: Firefox and HTML5

I had the same problem in the past. Then I installed Iceweasel (Firefox maintained by Debian) from Software Manager, codec dependencies were automatically selected and installed, it worked straight out of the box, no config changes etc. The version in Debian stable repo is a bit old, more recent ver...

Error during installation at partitioning step

SolydX 64-bit (solydx64_201501.iso)

I got the error below during installation right before the partitioning step. I had to disable the floppy drive to get around it.

Move adblock plus to a separate package

I find firefox-solydxk-adjustments useful, but I use adblock edge which blocks more ads by default, and ABP can't be uninstalled when firefox-solydxk-adjustments is installed, is it possible to move adblock plus to a separate package or replace it with adblock edge?

Re: Support NFS netboot installation

I think it's the startup script that kills the NFS mount. Can the script be changed so that it doesn't affect existing NFS mounts?

"nfs: server 192.168.0.128 not responding, still trying" happens after network related log entries as you can see in the screenshot below

Support NFS netboot installation

NFS netboot installation is supported by LMDE, can Solydxk also support it? With LMDE, I only need to add netboot=nfs nfsroot=nfsserver:/path-to-iso-mount kernel arguments to start NFS install, but with Solydx, I get NFS server not responding still trying message about 10-20 seconds into the boot pr...
