Re: No wifi connection - X32

I got dmseg not found. However, part of the problem was the WPA1/2 choice (should be not hex [0-9/A-F], but passphrase selected). But the connection is painful, yet. I have just tested other 2 distros with different network manager (MiniNo and LXLE) and they connect better and faster, eventhough you...

No wifi connection - X32

Anybody having problems with SolydX connecting to (new) wireless networks lately? I do, in 2 different machines (different hardware, just the same (good) SolydX 32). I can only connect to a network previously set up, not to new ones (WPA type). It tries to get IP from the networks, fails, and I'm ba...

Re: Home-banking and java issues

Thanks, my friend.
But I'll check another computer with another configuration and distro, and get back. I can enter the bank/java there and, if I am not mistaken, I have another 2 digit kernel too. I'll report back, OK?
Cheers.

One is a GeForce 2 MX 400, if I'm not mistaken. The other I can tell you latter.

Kernel 3.13 with issues in some SolidX 32 computers

I have just updated 7 machines with SolydK 64 and SolydX 32. In two of them, I had issues: no complete booting. The machines had different AMD Athlon XP processors (1 core, bur PAE compatible), and nVidia graphic cards. I tried the recovery mode and found a message saying "press ctrl + D to continue...

Re: UP process change

I never have that much broken!
And even with a 3 month cycle, if something is broken after an upgrade, the team won't wait 3 more months to release a correction, that would be done in a couple of days. It's a whole different issue.

Well well, it is not always... what is, still, very weird.
Now, right clicking doesn't make it crash!
Cheers!

Same song:
K64, no theme, same extensions I have since ever... and this happened lately.
Weird.

Firefox 27.0 crashing

While selecting, right-clicking inside a gmail box, FF crashes more than once! (I mean, after restarting, still gives me trouble).
Anybody else experiencing this?

Re: Home-banking and java issues

OK, let's see how it goes.

By the way, the system has JRE6 and in Synaptic I see 7 too. is it safe to remove one totally, and install the other?
Thanks!

Re: New ISO’s for the Home Editions

grub-customizer is a very good news! We really need that, specially for dual-boot machines.
Long live SolydXK!

Re: Libreoffice crashing

PS: in my brand new installation, everything was so good... but Lo still gets frozen for some seconds, some times, when trying to save (as) files.
I guess is a Lo 4.1.4.2 [Id. of compilation: 410m0(Build:2)] bug issue.
Can't wait for Debian testing to update for 4.2.1 ;)

Re: UP process change

as for the libreoffice, it's not part of solydxk's own repository and will not upgraded until we get new UP. I don't know how did you get 4.2 but our libreoffice is still 4.1.5 while the next libreoffice in debian testing will be 4.2.1. libreoffice 4.2 never exist on any debian branch. You are (alm...

Re: UP process change

I agree with "sumitb" about KDE.

Also: Libreoffice was updated to 4.2.1 because of small bugs in 4.2. I don't know if this is one of them, but in mine, I cannot install spell-checkers and dictionaries other than the native English default one :(
