HOT KEY for Whisker Menu

Add a HOT KEY to launch WhiskerMenu

XFCE Settings Manager > keyboard > application shortcuts > add >

Code: Select all

 xfce4-popup-whiskermenu
Select hot key of your choice... (Supr_L "Windows Key", in my case).

Re: Kdenext and SolydX

Well, I try to invest my time and limited knowledge as best i can. I always test things that need testing, and post as many HOW TO threads for things I find useful, as I have from day one of SolydXK. If I could maintain xfcenext for SolydXK I perhaps would try.

Re: Kdenext and SolydX

Thanks for the explanation 'z'... :D What about xfcenext for SolydX ? I believe its already included (by default) in the solydxk repo ? No, xfce4 is in the Debian repository: OK, but what about updates to XFCE? I realize that KDE is the main focus of SolydXK, but XFCE needs some love too. http://ww...

You can look here for more info. that might help you, of wait for a KDE user to help (perhaps edit your OP title to show KDE)?

Hi karl

Did not realize you were o n KDE. Thought xscreensaver was XFCE....

Surprised there is not a default entry in autostart?

In any event the proper command is.

Code: Select all

xscreensaver -no-splash

Re: Package: debfoster - Anyone have more details on using t

From the apt-cache man page autoremove autoremove is used to remove packages that were automatically installed to satisfy dependencies for other packages and are now no longer needed. Works nicely, but does not remove orphaned packages. ========================= From deborphan man page NAME deborpha...

Re: Package: debfoster - Anyone have more details on using t

hi dify

Thanks. Looks to be redundant, if I use deborphan. Perhaps more trouble than its worth...

I am going to hold off on it for now. Perhaps if we hear from others who do use it. It really does not appear to be very popular.
