Re: Gparted does not launch!

First thing I see is that gparted-pkexec is a script (/usr/bin/gparted-pkexec) that, in turn, runs gparted. Have your tried gksu gparted I'm not saying this will work, but it will start the execution with the executable rather than running script - a little closer to the souce as it were. Hi Scott....

Re: Gparted does not launch!

Shut down computer for 5 min. Booted and it ran this time, but its a recurring issue. Will look for a permanent fix. For Reference: I never had this issue with Debian "Jessie" (Debian testing), or Siiduction (Debian SID)... :?: Its possible it could be caused by something I removed (I do tend to be ...

Re: Gparted does not launch!

I completely removed it, re-booted and re-install the default SolydXK ver.

Code: Select all

gene@solydc:~$ sudo apt-cache policy gparted
[sudo] password for gene:
gparted:
  Installed: 0.17.0-2
 ....
Same thing!

Re: Scilab No GUI

Hi MrZ..

I'd bet not many or any users have installed this. You may have to wait a while for an answer... :(

Try launch in terminal to see any errors. If some 'google' them. Good luck.

Plank: A very lightweight Dock for SolydXK

Plank is a fork of Docky , but its plus is that its the lightest dock I've found, and it installs with NONE of the 'mono' dependencies that Docky does. Avant-Window-Navigator is a very nice dock, but no longer available in Debian. Docky .. gene@solydc:~$ apt install docky [sudo] password fo...

^ Interesting, thanks Hinto. Deb installed with no dependencies. Works, but no window borders (known bug).
