Re: Lost icons on SolydX

Can't somebody please come up with the correct config file that needs to be changed? On my SolydX stable system it seems to be "button-icon=solydx" in "~/.config/xfce4/panel/whiskermenu-9.rc". This file is derived from "/etc/skel/.config/xfce4/panel/whiskermenu-9.rc". However, this file shows "butt...

Re: Lost icons on SolydX

Sorry, I didn't realise this bug report was about the Raspberrry Pi. I thought from the earlier posts it was also a problem with the main edition. :?

Either way, if anyone has "lost" this icon it can be downloaded again from my post above.

Re: SolydXK NEON Animated gif (Just for fun)

Thanks MCh. Unfortunately, once you have posted something on the web, it is out there for ever.

Regrettably, SolydForEver seems to want to make SolydXK forums so annoying that no one will want to help out!

Re: SolydXK NEON Animated gif (Just for fun)

ilu: Some forums have a facility for the admin to disable animated GIFs but I am not sure if phpBB has this feature.

However, one workaround would be to only allow avatars smaller than, say 10kB. This would, effectively, stop these annoying blinking avatars. :-)

Re: Community ISO maintenance and build issues

Why is there a /usr/share/themes/oxygen-gtk/gtk-3.0/kdeglobals (from March 2013) on SolydX? No idea why this KDE file exists on SolydX but I can confirm that it is still present on my (stable) system. And a broken symlink /usr/share/themes/greybird-solydx, pointing to Breeze (not Breeze-X)? Now my ...

Re: SolydXK NEON Animated gif (Just for fun)

I did wonder if the irony of my "sad" blinking emoticon would be noticed... ;-) I can tolerate a (very) small blinking emoticon but still prefer those that are static. As far as other forum "street furniture" is concerned (such as avatars and signatures), I do find blinking versions of these extreme...

Have you read " The Official SMPlayer Blog "? This blog advises: Due to changes in YouTube, the old SMTube doesn’t work anymore. A new version has been developed, written from scratch. mattymanx: Welcome to SolydXK forums and I trust you will enjoy using this great distro! It is not clear which edition of SolydX you have installed as there are distinct differences. The "main" edition is based on Debian stable and so is definitely not rolling, as the functionality of this edition r...

Sorry, but I failed my clairvoyancy exams! How about giving us a clue about whether the system is running stable or testing... ;-)

The usual system output often comes in useful:

Re: SolydXK 9 (stretch) alpha build testing

I am probably way off-beam with this but it seems that kdesudo authentication is at the heart of the problem.

Would replacing kdesudo commands with pkexec help if the necessary PolicyKit action definition files are provided?

Re: [v86d]

FWIW, I also have v86d installed on a LMDE2 (Mint - Debian jessie) system. However, my two CrunchBang Waldorf (now Debian wheezy) systems do not have v86d installed!

I'm not quite sure why v86d is needed on any system... :?

Re: [SOLVED] Will SoldydK 9 use KDE LTS and will Debian update LTS updates

I would just add that SolydXK (and Debian stable) is supposed to be fully functional without an end-user needing to worry about the minutae of software version numbers and point-releases. To use a motoring analogy, a car driver rarely knows (or even cares!) about the version of software used in the ...
