Re: Official logo's and font (and other stuff)

Indeed nice design!

But I understand Schoelje's point of view given the rationale behind - and the (young) age of this distro.

Re: Somebody able to compile Cantata (mpd client)

Hi, I gave it another try on a clean SolydK install but ofcourse still missing some libraries/dependencies... Aproached the Ubuntu workaround and found this: http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/core/saucy/universe/base/cantata which I downloaded and installed, and I'm happy with it. Now let's hope ...

Hi Coffeetime,

Sometimes I look at those nice stockings too ;). Think I found her somewhere on Deviantart.

Still discovering KDE and found the Wallpaper clock from one of my favourite artists (Vladstudio)...

KMIX volume applet 15% steps mouse over

Hi, I was annoyed by the big steps the volume is changed by using my mouse scrollwheel. I was not the only one: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=313579 A workaround which works here was changing the the "mouse wheel scrolls by" from 3 to 1 lines in the System Settings/Mouse/Advanced Tab and addi...

Re: UP 2013.11.06 09:00 UTC [PRODUCTION]

After wasting time fighting (nvidia)drivers on different distro's I also prefer smxi, even on ubuntu based distro's if jockey wasn't able to activate the driver, sgfxi did the job, takes care of updating grub and initramfs as well.

Re: UP 2013.11.06 09:00 UTC [PRODUCTION]

i merged your topic here. can you please check in kdm if the KDE Plasma Workspace session is selected? ZeroZero, There was no KDE Plasma Workspace session at all to choose from, only Default, Openbox (I installed that myself tinkering with playonlinux/Crysis) and Failsafe. Also I did some compiling...

Re: SolydK without GTK part

I suppose not...given the filosophy and name of SolydXK, but I saw Schoelje encouraging a community driven gnome-shell spin somewhere on this forum. I liked the idea of being a purist but since SolydXK using gwenview/dolphin/konsole/kate in SolydX...

Re: Somebody able to compile Cantata (mpd client)

Hi Snap, I think it's different. I'm familiar with Amarok, Clementine and other (media)players. Also I like the Linux filosophy for having 1 program for 1 function (which is rare nowadays with respect to distro's and players in particular) ;) I use Music Player Daemon (MPD) as my music server/'CD Pl...

Re: How do I verify Solyd X is using Swap partition? [SOLVED

Also here SolydK and X where not using swap by default. Just checking my fstabon K and swap was not there, fstab on X contains a swap partition...

Is that a coincidence or a default in SolydXK?

Re: FOREVER UNRESOLVED?! NO AUDIO thru HDMI on AMD Radeon

Hello Justin5, I didn't yet build a new machine, but because of my Linux adventure I felt some sympathy to AMD (something like David and Goliath). My interest started because of the AMD A10 cpu/gpu and the urge to build a small formfactor, low energy PC for occasional gaming use. After that I focuse...

Re: FOREVER UNRESOLVED?! NO AUDIO thru HDMI on AMD Radeon

Intending to build an all AMD rig I did some research the last months and unfortunately Linux support is often an issue. By coincidence, yesterday I was reading a forum discussion with similar issues (http://www.tweakers.net) as you mentioned and it seemed to be a structural problem.
