Re: Sudden Loud Volume (After Recent UP)

There's no 'pavucontrol' on my system. As for the Wiki article, it is for ArchLinux, not SolydK so I don't know if it would work? My entire /etc/pulse/daemon.conf file is commented out anyway. Maybe it's not using it? There is. You will find it as Pulseaudio Volume control. pavucontrol is the comma...

Re: Sudden Loud Volume (After Recent UP)

If you are using SolydK, try to adjust the sound volume of your system using pavucontrol, not kmix. It seems that for some reason, the system (especially system notifications) suddenly adjusts to the sound levels set there, not in kmix. The first tab has a slider for the system notifications sound v...

Re: UP 2014.01.15 [PRODUCTION]

Although i do not have the problem, i tried it to see if it would cause a problem at startup. It did not, but it had an unexpected positive result: startup time was significantly reduced.. Which was really surprising. Tried which? And how? The best way to start a daemon is through the init.d system...

Re: UP 2014.01.15 [PRODUCTION]

How about running the command

Code: Select all

udisks --enumerate
This will start the old daemon. If it works, you can make it run automatically at startup.

Re: One Year Since I Switched To Linux

I hear that KDE 5 is going to have some improvements in QT? I might wait until then but I would like to make programs that are more cross-platform (ie. work in any DE without having to load KDE libraries which can be a lot). Personally, I use Eclipse right now. Though I do have a tendency to try ne...

Re: UP 2014.01.15 [PRODUCTION]

I do not have the problem above and i can not reproduce it. However, could it be that automatic mounting was enabled in system settings when the transition from mounting a new device in /media to /media/username took place? So, perhaps now KDE "remembers" those devices being in /media, looks for the...

Re: UP 2014.01.15 [PRODUCTION]

things every 15-20 minutes or so. Not a fully "automatic" type update as in Windows. Windows are not a rolling release. You can update windows7 as much as you want, you will never get windows 8 :D Windows are a "frozen" release, just like Ubuntu. Just patches and fixes and some times, perhaps, a ma...

Re: SolydXK Stickers

Just saw the business ones. Personally I am not fond of the rainbow color with light blue. Looks like it doesn't contrast enough. Maybe might want to use black or keep the rainbow and outline things in black to give it more definition? The reason i added some shadow around the two "suits" was to cr...

Re: SolydXK Stickers

Added two stickers to replace the windows key. I think starting around 300 dpi and then adjusting it to fit the key size would work. But i did not try this. There is another thing that just crossed my mind: I am fooling around with the official SolydXK logo and i am not sure how acceptable that is. ...

I like that! love the label as well, where did you get that? I wouldn't mind printing some out to stick on these computers here. Sam Actually, that's what it is, a sticker :D I made it out of the CD label svg. I wanted a solydk sticker for my PC, so i made one. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1...

Re: UP - 01/01/2014 [TESTING]

I recommend not to update for the moment. Ah.. too late, i already upgraded my system/ SolydK 64 bit, open source AMD drivers, no Plymouth. Both KDE updates went fine without any issues. No packages were removed. libtag1-rusxmms was not installed and does not exist in repositories, libtaskmanager4a...

Iframe is not allowed anymore. Click here to watch the movie.

I bought their albums at least 3 times.. First in vinyl, then CD, which was advertised at the time to last forever( they don't), but now i learned my lesson and keep them all safe inside my computer ;)
