If we can have it in Solyd that would be great. If not is there an easy way to get all those dependencies installed. Maybe a 'magic' package manager? i was able to install the latest and (not so) greatest gramps, version 4.0.3-3, by pulling the .deb file from their site. sudo dpkg -i gramps_4.0.3-3...

I had a similar problem with conky, turned out it was a problem with transparency,
After some searching on the web i found i had to install feh to handle the wallpaper

I watched the LAS vid, it sure is an interesting project to follow. I watched it full screen but did i still see video tearing on the linux box despite all the effort steam is putting into improving video performance ? So will this be packaged and put into our repos? Not likely to be soon, since it's only running for 1 day now, but that will be decided by the maintainers. that might be the problem, i didn't have homerun installed.
have you tried just installing the plasma-widget-homerun-kicker.deb file

managed to compile the kicker menu for 64bits SolydK after watching an interesting video on da tube on howto make use of a PPA in debian. kicker.jpg debs are added (not sure if they will be useable on other systems, plz let me know if it works) https://www.dropbox.com/s/3esa6wr8xe90rir/libhomerun0_1...

Because the Storm series drawn by Don Lawrence certainly fits the genre. I even suspect the makers of avatar to have loosely based their film upon Pandarve's world created by Lawrence. A very underrated artist.
