Oops! This is the Catalan welcome screen. Maybe there was a confusion with locales "ca" (Catalan) and "en_CA" Canadian English?

Sorry if the mistake was in my side.

No, just a bug in the code.

Tried the August 15 Xfce64 ISO in virtual box and on live USB. No problems. Is there anything I should look for to test?
Being resistant to change, I went back to the Oxygen with Gnome Icons. Still no problems.

No, not something in particular. I build these ISOs once in a while for people who prefer an ISO with the latest updates. They are not thoroughly tested, though. So, in theory, it could happen that some thing might not behave the way you'd expect it to do.

Re: Nightly builds

Postby Arjen Balfoort » 19 Oct 2015 18:00

I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time now. So, for the past three weeks we’ve been working very hard to implement encryption in our Live Installer.

This was the biggest change in the Live Installer but not the only one. Where you want to install Grub is now done in the partitioning window by simply clicking on a check box. After installation in VirtualBox, UEFI finally works. Well, there’s more but I’d like to invite you to try it out and find out yourself.

You can download the nightly builds with the new installer here: http://downloads.solydxk.nl/nightly/
If you find an issue, here’s the topic on our forum: http://forums.solydxk.nl/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=5904

The source has been updated on GitHub and if you want to help out with the translations you can join our Transifex project.

Schoelje: I hope I am right in thinking that encryption is not implemented by default and that, if this option is desired,
enabling encryption will require a deliberate action by the administrator.

you are right:
1) click to encrypt
2) read a warning
3)write a password
There should be in a future version a double check for password, to avoid a mistake while typing. I know this is not simple as we are using an imported tool.

belze: Thanks for that.

Encryption is a useful option but not all of us want this kind of overhead (or complexity!) on desktop systems that never leave home. ;-)

Hi Schoelje.

Are the nightly builds based on Debian Stable also? Or are they based on Debian Testing?
