I haven't updated this thread in quite a while but I've just finished uploading the latest nightlies here: https://downloads.solydxk.com/nightly/

New nightlies.

I've been developing on the live installer. When the installer starts, it will try to update itself before actually starting the installer. On SolydK-9 that took a very long time before the update window (zenity) showed. I've replaced the zenity window with a custom window which shows a bit faster but not much.

It seems a problem with SolydK-9 only. On SoydX-9, SolydK-10 and SolydX-10 it took about 3 seconds until the update window showed. I decided to stop further debugging for SolydK-9 because Buster is planned somewhere this summer.

Many thanks, Arjen.

Nice to see that developing of SolydXK does not stop. I am using SolydK, so better waiting until SolydK beta (Buster).
That seems a good release to came.

Eduard.

Hi Arjen, a little question about the nightly build, it runs now in virtualbox on my desktop, but when i decide to install it does it become the solyd 10 version that is going to be released?
What i mean is, is it going to be updated?
regards

Yes, it will get some minor updates but these updates will be installed on your nightly builds when you update. So, you can leave your installation as-is.

There might be minor changes, but the latest nightly should be good to go for your desktop.

Ok, for the moment I am using a rolling release as my daily driver but I am thinking to switch over to a more stable(maybe some testing) distro and SolydX seems to be a good candidate.
Should it detect my network printer is the only thing i'm scared for?

I just wondered if solydx will be able to find my network printer since it is not in the same room as my desktop. I know from experience that the ubuntu and derivatives do this without a problem.

Still, as Ilu suggested, please open a separate topic. Your question is not typically an issue for the nightly builds and you have more luck getting an answer when you state your problem in its own topic.

you should not pay attention to it, installation has happened and the printer has been found, I am very pleased with this nightly.
