The first system I upgraded today was one of the test machines. There, dpkg refused to continue, so I wrote the little scriipt, which I used on my main machine. Just out of curiosity, I just reinstalled 2.7.6 there and did the upgrade again. No issues, other than the warning. Go figure. :?

I asume this is still in testing, not production?

Should I do that too?

The faulty package was in production. Hence the update.
You don't have to reinstall the package if dpkg ended successfully after the warning.

I've updated xksudo which now uses gettext for the translation of two small phrases. The existing translations come from kdesudo but just a few were available (not even Dutch). You can help with the translation on Transifex: https://www.transifex.com/solydxk/xksudo/dashboard/

I've also uploaded the source to Github: https://github.com/SolydXK/xksudo

Hi,

I get this message following today's update :

les paquets suivants seront ENLEVÉS :
evolvere-icon-theme-black-folders-vivid evolvere-icon-theme-black-folders-vivid-dark
evolvere-icon-theme-blue-folders-flat-vivid-dark evolvere-icon-theme-flat-vivid-sunken
evolvere-icon-theme-flat-vivid-sunken-dark
0 mis à jour, 0 nouvellement installés, 5 à enlever et 0 non mis à jour.

removing the both bold package with result in a contradiction with the announcement getting ready for strech

This morning I ran the update to the Update Manager, from 3.09 to 3.10. While the files were processing the update manager screen disappeared as did the icon on the status bar. I tried running the Update Manager from the menu and nothing appeared to happen, not even the login screen would appear. I rebooted the PC and again tried running the UM. Again, nothing appeared to happen and the icon is still missing from the status bar. I rebooted a second time, this time a hard boot, with the same result. Is this the expected outcome? I think not since I no longer seem to have access to updates.

I would appreciate some feedback and direction on this matter. Thanks!

for anyone interested to get early jump for stretch, you can follow these guide below.
https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/ ... ng.en.html

please note that above was intended for vanilla debian so there might be some minor glitch regarding solydxk packages. also, don't forget to backup your system before upgrading the system. on a positive side, there's no mention about specific issues on the guide so you might could safely jump into stretch now.

as for DMO user, please read this thread to understand the risk viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6916
