it's not the first time I saw a package have migrated to testing but the tracker said it haven't. in my experience the delay is less than 12 hours so my guess is that the tracker is updated at a different interval with the package migration.

Just finished my daily update and no problems. I'm running smooth here fully updated. Libaudio2 was the only recent bump I've seen. :D

after read maxibuntu's report I suspected that there might a bug in the upgrade tools. I also have several package didn't finish the configuration step during update.

btw, this thread is related with this thread http://forums.solydxk.nl/viewtopic.php? ... 853#p47853
to be summarized:
- avahi-daemon, hplip, dbus got half configured during update
- jpeg-turbo transition isn't smooth
- python 3 broke if you have softwaremanager instead of solydx-softwaremanager
- plymouth broke and need to be uninstalled.

we can try the rough way.

Code: Select all

sudo chmod 755 /var/log/btmp
or delete that file so that system will create a new one.

log files should not contain those kind of information so I'd say changing the permission won't compromise your system security at all. just my opinion. kindly thanks for your information :3

Thanks for the info. I still have it on hold, for weeks now. I'll try the suggested solution tomorrow.

It works. In other system I had to reinstall the old version and then holding the new one while in Solyd tracking testing I just put it on hold. Now both got the new one working. Thanks, maxibuntu.

You're going for it? Good. I'll wait.

Just kidding. I have a separate partition that acts as a "backup main system" in case the real one gets borked. I'm updating now...

Made a clone just in case, but it went smooth. A couple of reboots and opening and closing apps like crazy. All good. Even the new Firefox.
