Postby cwtokyo » 23 May 2019 03:30

Is it possible to create a USB stick containing ubuntu io with the usb-creator that is initially installed on Solydx? I was able to install solydx9 io on a USB stick, but I could not install ubuntu.

It should work, but I haven't tested it in quite some time and without any error messages I don't know what's wrong.

Please, start usb-creator from the terminal:

Code: Select all

usb-creator
and post back the output if you try to create a bootable USB with the Ubuntu ISO.

I'd also like to see the content of boot/grub/grub.cfg on the USB.

If you know some bash/python and you might consider helping out, here's the source on Github: https://github.com/SolydXK/usb-creator

I was able to create Manjaro iso. However, usb-creator is less convenient than Mint's usb-creator. I think there is a need to make this easy to use.
