I'm sure someone can help you with this, but to make it easier, please let us know which version of Solyd you have installed. (X, K, BE etc).
Can you give us list of the bits that were reported missing? This is probably logged somewhere, but I can't remember where, sorry.

We have been warned about not using a ppa from ubuntu as it has many differences from Solyd. And, apparently, even if you just have one enabled in your list of repos dire things can happen.

Once again I hope someone can be more help.

i'm using solydk last editon. the problem was solved with this:

sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad

for dvd95 i don't have a solution at this time.

now everything is ok.
meanwhile i installed manually libreoffice 4.2 because of this: "interoperability with Microsoft OOXML, particularly for DOCX, as well as legacy RTF, has improved considerably."
i need it for my work so it was not possible to wait for update. my question si when we'll receive the updates i'll have problems with libreoffice? what i'll have to do in this case?
i need also a screencaster. what can you recommend me for solydk?

thank you zerozero!

Hi there red! Welcome!

May I suggest you create a new thread for each of your two new questions? Given an an appropriate title they will each get the attention they deserve instead of being buried in the middle of an unrelated thread.

Scott is correct about seperating the subjects but, LibreOffice comes installed with SolydK. If you had to install it you must be using SolydX as it comes with AbiWord I believe.
Just an observation
