For me also without errors.
@kurotsugi: I'm fine with the password request. For me this is just debugging.

I've removed udisks from the nightly builds. I did the same with my main system an haven't had any issues since. Let me know how this is functioning for you and if I can keep udisks out from the ISOs.

Code: Select all

san-claudio@solydxk ~ $ apt policy udisks
udisks:
  Installé : (aucun)
  Candidat : (aucun)
 Table de version :
san-claudio@solydxk ~ $
Il n'était pas installé sur l'ISO de février 2016 SolydX EE 9 64bit...Tout va bien comme ça pour moi je pense.

It is graphical tool called gnome-disk-utility , which allow automatic mounting partitions.

As I mentioned in my earlier post https://forums.solydxk.com/viewtopic.ph ... 06b#p62503, gnome-disk-utility is buggy and it is not correctly representing my partition layout and hence I cannot use it.

Thanks,'
Balaji.

This has nothing to do with gnome-disk-utility and also nothing with gparted. As kurotsugi explained before passwordless mounting should work out of the box.
We have figured out that having udisks and udisks2 installed causes the problem, so udisks was removed from the ISOs.
Please post the output of

Code: Select all

dpkg -l udisks*
sudo cat /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/99-mount-partitions.pkla
If udisks is still installed (ii) please remove it with "apt remove udisks" and tell us whether passwordless mounting in Thunar works now.
If not we'll have to investigate further.

Edit: I just checked my system, I still need a password, even without udisks.

you'll need reboot to make the hack work. if that still didn't work. you can edit the udisk2 polkit rules as explained above. last time we debug it, everything works as it should be. now I don't have ntfs partition so that I can't debug it. you can also try the second hack mentioned in this post https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/questi ... -password/

I was looking for some SolydXK history on Mint's forums and found this post that might help with regards to NTFS authentication: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic. ... 48#p757348
