Currently I am running Manjaro KDE, but want to try SolydX/SolydK, as it seems Matlab is better supported in Debian based distros.
After doing some search in the web I coma across to SolydXK, and it seems very convenient to me. I would like to give a try to it, but when I am creating the live usb, it doen't boot in my laptop.
when I am trying SolydX - it says that it couldn't find virtual box, and it is quieting virtual box and systems freezes there.
when I am trying SolydK - it starts Plymouth screen, I see the bar almost 15% filled and it is stopped there.
I created Live USB with Suse Studio Imagewriter in Manjaro KDE. also I tried to create it from windows desktop by using either Rawrite or rosaimage writer. No luck.
But the live usb is working on my other laptop, that is why I guess it is more connected to my current laptop, although there were never similar problem with other distros.
Although, my CPU does support for virtualization, but it is turned off from bios and I dont have access to it :/ (some strange decision from Acer team). I guess this is the problem. can you help me overpass it? How can I do it?
here is the specs of my system
