When will LibreOffice 6 become available? The SolydK updates delivered today included LibreOffice 5.2.7.2.
just wondering when we can make the jump to 6.1 :)
Thanks

The stable edition is not going to get 6.1, until Debian makes the change to Buster as stable which should be sometime mid-year. Version 6.1.5 is in testing now.

Hi Stanxk,

You can get it from the Stretch Backports:

First, activate them in SolydX:

System Settings - 2nd tab (Repositories) - check "Activate Backports" - click "Save Backports"

then update Apt:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
(though I suspect SolydX System Settings does that automatically)

then install LibreOffice from Backports:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install -t stretch-backports libreoffice
That will update your existing LibreOffice setup.

Hope this helps - Daniel
