Hi Friends,

It's been a few days I am struggling to the Netflix going on Firefox. It just does not work. And no error codes too. Has anyone faced similar issues?

I have found Firefox to be pretty unreliable when it comes to running netflix. Sometimes an update will work and another won't. When it works it is slow.

I can't get it to work at all on Waterfox! :(

Unfortunately, the only browser that works every time for me is Google Chrome which I keep just for netflx. :cry:

There's chromium too. You'll need to extract the widevine component from chrome though.

as a temporary fix: why not install Kodi and use your device as a media center
(will extract widevine component for you)?

Thanks a lot Guys. For the moment I was able to fix the issue from here. It was a DRM problem.

In your Firefox profile directory, create a file called user.js with the following content:

Code: Select all

// Set variables for Netflix
pref("media.eme.enabled", true);
pref("media.gmp-widevinecdm.enabled", true);
pref("media.gmp-gmpopenh264.enabled", true);

Oh, thanks, that's awesome! Using Netflix on Firefox was quite the hassle for me as well... Now it works fine.
