my contribution

'wallpapoz'
Some would say its a unneeded eye candy' but I think helps organize (castle scene AUX Desktop, serene beach scene background Desktop ect) 8-) Run slow (speeds up second time around thou)
And make Xfce backdrop same as desk1's in Walpapoz.

here is a link https://vajrasky.wordpress.com/ its a tar (other will tell how to compile. (I have a deb I keep on Net-Drive :P ). Its only 32 bit I belive (runs using Multiarch no problem. Believe the debs in some PPA's(ubuntu) are unmodified also.

J.Jay
P.S. almost forgot I believe you need 0.6.1 or above for Xfce support.
EDIT also retains Icons/launchers on desktop (ableit same every desktop) unlike compiz (way over needs/resources IMHO anyway.

2nd :D Also be used on the KDE version I assume.
"transfer-on-lan' http://www.bestsoftware4download.com/so ... zwpbi.html **edit url sorry**

Made aware of on other distro/forum. It's a worthy succesor to the old 'giver' program. Install locally (un zip run script). Seperate Mac/Win/Linux versions (no android tho :( 0
Work great tranfering (even Son's MSWin box) without needing to upload/dowload to pendrive or net-drive ect.

3rd (I assume could be KDE also again) for use for tablets/slates ect (stylus)

http://ppa.launchpad.net/thjaeger/table ... comrotate/
use debs bottom of page (tried both 0.3.1 and 0.3.2)

a small deamon (when install automatically puts a itiem (checked) in autostart menu.
Will change the screens (wacom orintation) whenever the screen rotate, like in the display setting. :P

I would think xfconf (that right?) in a scipt comand could do it also.

4th (this one can't be used KDE) but can be used on gnome2 and LXDE also... 8-) gnome3 with gtk3 modified rc file

For 'lefties' (left-handed people) exspecially usefull on tablets/slate arm covers screen otherwise

Being left-handed, I prefer all the scrollbars to be on the left side when using the tablet. Unfortunately, there is no unique approch, and the configuration depends on the individual program or GUI toolkit.

* For GTK Applications: (won't work in all apps)

Create the file ~/.gtkrc-2.0 inside your home directory and insert the following line: (**already in solydx** :o ) **EDIT** can also create a 'gtkrc-3.0' file with the following line (work atleast in Thunar, ect. ( GTK3?)
gtk-scrolled-window-placement = top-right

* Xfce terminal in preferences on general(defalt) tab :)

* Firefox: (works still) (disregard warrning popup  0

Enter about:config in the address bar, then search for layout.scrollbar.side, and change its value to 3

*Thunderbird: (I stopped using years ago in favor of 'gmail but think still works) :?:
Edit->preferences -> Advance (tab) ->config editor (button)
same as Firefox

* Emacs:

Add the following line to your ~/.emacs configuration file:

(set-scroll-bar-mode 'left)

Happy tabbing

Hello everyone! First post here and I wanted to share two of the main additions I make to almost every install I do...

REALLY good looking fonts!
Take the code on the page at the Debian wiki about font hinting and smoothing and put it in a file named local.conf in /etc/fonts.
https://wiki.debian.org/Fonts#Subpixel- ... -smoothing

DockBarX as an XFCE panel plugin
I couldn't find a repository for Debian but getting down the code and compiling is no big deal.

I just recently switched to KDE after using XFCE for the last three years. This post makes me want to try XFCE again. :)

How to customise a standard XFCE
Customise XFCE pt1 http://youtu.be/IRpM72yQI9M
Customise XFCE pt2 http://youtu.be/GP-i0sHuM0U
You'll have to add your own wallpapers.

Hello Guys. Really great additions. The only thing I can't get rid of is the default cursors @ Xfce Theme Manager / Cursors
No matter which one I select it just doesn't change.

This is my first post here so I'm going to say it: Cool distribution! :)

[edit]
After the update today the cursor problem disappeared! Nice :)

Default Settings SolydX 8 Appearance
> Settings (Personal) > Appearance Style > greybyrd-solydx ; Appearance Icons > Evolvere Flat Vivid Sunken

I made change on the default and was not able to get back to it.
Realized that if just the Style get changed also the Icon set changes. So this hast do be changed back to the default too.
If it not gets back straight away, log off and a new log in helps.
