[solved] Restore to XFCE default user/panel settings

Postby mil3s » 20 Jan 2017 18:47

Hello,

my /home/user/config/xfce4 directory has crashed. I have no /home/user backup.

How can I copy/set the solydx default settings to the user? Where can I find the default files?

Thank you in advance.

These files originate in /etc/skel/.config/xfce4. Restore the default files with the following command:

Code: Select all

cp -a /etc/skel/.config/xfce4 ~/.config/

Note that ".config" has a "dot" prefix - meaning it is a hidden directory.

you can also delete all the files inside that directory then logout. it will create the new config automatically

Thank you. Did it successfully.

When you delete, then you get the debian defaults, not the solydxk. Skel is the way to do :)
