Wifi Issues on SolydK

Postby Cigam » 05 Sep 2013 13:39

I installed the newest SolydK on my friends Gateway P6831-FX laptop, but the wifi is not being recognized for some reason. I already tried the ddm -d command, but it seems like the wifi is shown in the system its just not using it or something. originally on Ubuntu I had to do something like: sudo rmmod acer_wmi to get the wifi working but that does not work on this distro. What can I do to check the wifi or get it working? I did not see too many posts on wifi when i searched for it.

Here is the specs for the laptop too: http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/200 ... Rsp2.shtml

I did the commands but still had to do the rmmod acer_wmi, and its working now. not really sure why, but maybe he just had them hidden in the network list. But thanks for the help zerozero.
