It seems openjdk is the culprit. Actually it is one of the updated packages. They say if you upgrade to JDK 8 or downgrade to 7.u79_2.5.5-1 the problem goes away.

Uhm... the updatemanager is showing right now a new openjdk update!... I am going to install it. I bet it will solve the issue.

Following the links in that topic I ended up here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1547420
which mentions installing openjdk-8-jdk and making that the default.

In the upcoming ISOs and the current nightly builds openjdk-8 replaces openjdk-7.

Everything working fine so far. This seems to be solved.

Not needed even upgrading to openjdk 8. Just installing the yesterday's security update with the updatemanager fixes the problem.

openjdk-7-jdk versions:
7u85-2.6.1-6+deb8u1: QT painting glitches.
7u91-2.6.3-1~deb8u1: OK.

Schoelje, thank you very much for your help. Very kind on you to be so involved with my problem. Have a nice week. :D
