problem installing Kismet

problem installing Kismet

I have just done an update with update manager and it returned one error.

E: kismet: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 6

and the details section it says the following

 kismet

A package failed to install.  Trying to recover:

Any help would be appreciated.

when you install kismet there's a few interactive configuration steps
are you sure you did them all properly?
this is one of those packages that if you don't know how to use, you shouldn't be using :P
try to reconfigure it (and this time see if the options are right; i just installed it a couple minutes ago in VB and there's nothing wrong with the package itself)

Thanks for a quick reply, in actual fact i do not know why I have this installed, probably something i was fiddling with a while ago.

I presume that I can uninstall okay with

$ sudo apt-get --purge remove kismet

or would it be better to do

$ sudo apt-get remove kismet
