AMD card power management error

Postby ilu » 22 Nov 2017 12:56

I'm getting this error message during boot:

Code: Select all

dmesg | grep ERROR
[ 4.369703] [drm:si_dpm_set_power_state [radeon]] *ERROR* si_restrict_performance_levels_before_switch failed

Code: Select all

Graphics: Card: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Cape Verde PRO [Radeon HD 7750/8740 / R7 250E]
           bus-ID: 01:00.0
           Display Server: X.Org 1.19.2 drivers: ati,radeon (unloaded: modesetting,fbdev,vesa)
           Resolution: 1920x1080@60.00hz, 1920x1080@60.00hz
GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on AMD CAPE VERDE (DRM 2.50.0 / 4.12.0-14.3-liquorix-amd64, LLVM 3.9.1)
GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 13.0.6 Direct Rendering: Yes
It might have started with attaching a second monitor but I'm not sure. There are several bug reports on freedesktop.org and debian.org but nothing conclusive.

My system works without problems as far as I can see, I'm just putting this here for future reference.
