Not much going on in the forum lately

Talking about SolydXK, another distribution or totally off-topic but within the Rules ? It's the right place!

I won't. Similar situation here, but not with guitars... Anyway, can be painful. For me it's books, all my huge collection of vinyl, and my beautiful old hifi stuff. I rue the days I got rid of a lot of things, but just had to schluff it off. It crowds the mind. The mind has trouble enough keeping room for a couple neurons these days. The guitars are beautiful though. :)

Also been fooling with Refracta.
Ages ago it was actually the first Debian I ever installed.
They're doing a sysv jessie with openbox:

Cool. I'll give refracta a go. But I'm a bit overflooded right now. I need 36 hour days. Definitely!

You and me both. I'll be happy if I can just muddle along with all this stuff I already bit off... :)

I did not know my mention of wajig would stir up a hornets nest.

I never went with using gajig. I figured I'd rather have the terminal talking to me via command line with phrases like,

" dpkg: antix-cc-base-antix: dependency problems, but configuring anyway as you requested:"

I grinned like a cheshire cat when I saw that readout. Like I requested is what I wanted in my situation below.

Beginning

http://antix.freeforums.org/gtk-update- ... t4891.html

End of the trail

http://antix.freeforums.org/gtk-update- ... 91-45.html

After all that work in March. The box is now a AntiX 32 bit 14 RV3 testing platform as we move along slowly but
surely to a Final release. I figure in January or February or even March. Cuz I don't care.
Scooters are my life. I do computers because I choose to. Not because my life depends on them.

That box was a AntiX 11 Base install I had kept up for years. It was a matter of pride with me to keep that install going.
I had done everything from switch kernels, to running Mate and RazorQT Desktop environments with Fluxbox on that.
Then uninstalling them when bored with it.

Happy Trails, Rok

Could be useful too.

Personally haven't been around as was forced to go closer to bleeding edge. As needed support for my Hurion Graphics tablet support in kernel. And latest Gimp & Krita builds to be able to use tablet in the apps. As the older versions don't support it or usability was less than ideal.

Running KDE Netrunner rolling now. And forum there is even less active but very helpful and one guy AJSlye moderator is just as committed to helping out newbies as I found here in this friendly forum. And there is always the Main Manjaro forum also as Netrunner is a sub-forum.

But always checking back in with the SolydXK Family to see how it's going. And hope the community continues to make SolydXK the outstanding distro it is. As was the passionate dedicated dev's,mod's & Testing users that made it what it is.

Glad you're doing well with it, and got the Hurion going well too. Don't forget to come by and yell at us! We'll be happy to see you; you're kind of a fixture around here. 8-)

Thanks and keeping my eye on when Debian supports new enough versions and then can switch back to SolydXK.
Still have the Oct. 30th backup partitions that I can install then upgrade with I imagine.

Don't yell at people anymore. Just Inanimate Objects!

We are fully on topic here. It's about not much happening in the forums lately. We are making it to happen in an unusual way for a forum, but...

Just waking up checking and you guys Cracked Me Up! :o

Jack Nickel-a-son always loved that guy and his evil look.
Always looked like he was up to something secret and devious.

Well, my excuse for not posting as much is the holiday season and being near the end of the year I like to try and catch up on as much as I can so I can start the new year off with as clean a slate as possible. Plus work has kept me busy as well. I hope to be back in the swing of things around Jan. 4th or that week.

I sat down half an hour ago to pay some bills and catch up on other stuff and I haven't started yet.
I suppose that scores me -1. ;)

BTW There is a course on the history of jazz starting next month on Edx. Now that will use up more of my time.... :)
