let's see if i can explain :lol:
- take one YT url and pick just the last part
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfDEej4gQXY
CfDEej4gQXY

Code: Select all

[urlb=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfDEej4gQXY][/urlb]
in the code above replace the part from your video in both places

I know it says "One tune a day ..." - technically, it's the day after where I am :P

I also bought this when it came out, and I find myself listening to it regularly.

Old? I grew up listening to the Drifters in the back seat of my Daddy's car. Listening to the Who singing Can't Explain in Jr. High was a life altering experience for me.

Saddly - Daddy didn't know anything about them European girl singers

Eh, don't mess with the Who! And you're dad is quite right: nothing good can come from Europe... :D

Well Dad and I would have to disagree. Because Mom, the woman he married and of whom we were both quit fond of (..despite the fact she couldn't sing a lick) was born in France and raised in Italy. Although admittedly, there is something to be said about women with Latin tempers. Something, you may want to consider, if you find yourself falling for a Latin girl ..just a word to the wise. ;)

Also, there's the fact I was born in Trieste, and while admittedly humble to a fault, I remain somewhat prideful of my point of origin. And, not to mention, Pop was kind of your typical North American (we were French Canadians for a couple of hundred years before wandering south) mutt, being of mixed French, Irish and Portuguese descent.

So, I have to respectfully disagree with your statement. Besides, not only do those European women sing well, they're also kinda sultry looking ..in a good kinda way. ;)

Madredeus - A vaca do fogo

OK,, am I right in thinking that's, Mother of God singing Cow Fire or Cow of Fire?? If it is, there needs to be a story behind it somewhere. Whatever it is, I really like it, as in, I think some of my money is about to be invested in the Portuguese economy.

As far as Bjork, I liked the arrangement, on the other her vocals and phrasing are a taste I can not claim to have acquired ..yet. But that's OK, cause I didn't care much for either the Talking Heads or Shostakovitch the first time I heard them, but they both went on to have fairly respectable careers. Or, at least, that's what I was told.. ;)
