Firefox and Thunderbird[SOLVED]

Postby excollier » 02 Feb 2014 11:36

A little background first.
I have just installed SolydK BE as the regular edition updates were broken for my hardware and I don't have time to fix it. BE seems a good stable alternative, with low maintenance.
I know how to configure KDE to my taste and all is working with the exception of Firefox and Thunderbird. When I try to start them I get the bouncing icon and a notification in the panel, but neither actually start. as you can imagine, especially with firefox, this is a very important glitch and was wondering can anyone help?
I am trying to find a long term support stable/low maintenance Linux os and I like KDE. I am finally fed up distro hopping.

Had the same problem as i installed SolydKBE 2013-11 yesterday.
What helped me, was to de-install and then re-install firefox and thunderbird.
