Grub Customizer

Postby Karl » 27 Mar 2014 04:58

OS: SolydX 201401 64-bit.
I installed grub-customizer 3.0.4-1 via Synaptic Package Manager.
The items under the tabs 'List configuration' and 'General settings' can be easily be configured and respond acordingly.
However, under tab 'Appearance settings' selected Background Images will not respond/display nor will the default Menu colors.
Is there a fix for it?

Karl

I have found your correct and you have to remove 'solyd*- grub2- theme" for custom pixs to work. Also all pictures do not work for me. Possibly the format, size, et. Try a few.

Thanks GeneC.

Good to know that this particular issue is not unique to my system. This'll keep me occupied for a while.

Cheers...

Jost did a fresh install of SolydX64 from the stable January ISO. Went to install Grub Customizer using the same old version from the repo, and I am having problems. Found this old thread, but the SolydX-grub2-theme is no longer there. (Should I remove a different file?) So how do I get my custom picture to show up on grub? Thanks

You need to divert /boot/grub/grubbg.png and save your image as /boot/grub/grubbg.png
