[SOLVED] Firefox 36 no update

Postby kyomar » 02 Mar 2015 00:23

Hi, In the latest firefox and thunderbird update the firefox update (36.0) was missing. Thunderbird and the solydxk-adjustments-firefox resp. thunderbird where upgraded. Will firefox be upgraded soon as well?

SolydXK uses by default the Extended Support Release (ESR) edition of Firefox. Its life cycle and release schedule differ from those of Firefox for desktop.

For year or two, Thunderbird releases correspond to ESR editions only, though it doesn't use the "ESR" qualifier. Since then, It is not updated as frequently as Firefox for desktop.

Thunderbird and Firefox releases are not tied one to another, as it was in the past.

Both Firefox ESR and Thunderbird are at their very latest 31.5.0 releases in SolydXK now.

@kyomar,
Firefox 36.0 is in the repository, but only the 64-bit version. The 32-bit one appears to have gotten stuck on 35.0.1. I've contacted Arjen in case he hasn't seen this thread.
