Has anyone ever tried to configure the cups PDF printer to produce PDF/A files (of whatever version)?

Ubuntuusers wiki tells me that it will work by adding the parameter "-dPDFA" in /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf in this line:

Code: Select all

GSCall %s -q -dPDFA -dCompatibilityLevel=%s -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -dSAFER -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile="%s" -dAutoRotatePages=/PageByPage -dAutoFilterColorImages=false -dColorImageFilter=/FlateEncode -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -c .setpdfwrite -f %s
Would I encounter other problems if I did this? I'd prefer a way where I can comfortably switch between both versions. Anybody here who has experience with archieving?
