In my experience, when a new GNU/Linux user decides to install a distribution on his/her computer a dual-boot configuration is selected. We all know that the Windows OS sets the system time clock to local time (NOT UTC) and there is no indication that this will change. In order to accommodate new users (or anyone who wants to use a dual-boot with GNU/Linux and Windows - like me) it would be useful to add a switch to the time-date configuration to allow the user to choose between setting the system clock to UTC or Local time. Many distributions provide this, and I suggest Solid-XK should consider making this addition as well.
I am not a programmer, so I have absolutely no idea how to do this, or I would submit the modification myself. I look forward to any feedback on this idea.
