Mepis Refugee +1

Postby branwerks » 09 Oct 2014 23:43

New here from the burbs of Boston, MA. Was working on MX-14.2 in hopes of it becoming a main & permanent distro after vacillating for a few years, enduring a long, boring power struggle between Linux and that "other" operating system. I finally surrendered and went full speed ahead and ended up here after Mepis culminating in a 32bit build. I've got a new box with a good processor (finally) and I just couldn't bear to use something sub-par to my graphics capability at this juncture. Enter SolydX. I've been running amd64 home distro for about 5 days now and I'm here to stay.

Hi, from Mepis Refugee +0

SolydK does seem the logical way to go from Mepis, being also Debian and KDE based (although you mentioned SolydX - fair enough) and seemingly with an outlook similar to what Mepis once had.

I even got a personal "Enjoy SolydK" message from Anticapitalista on linuxquestions.org ! (where I am Dr Zhivago)
