Debian Desktop Fit

Postby Bodiro » 15 May 2018 15:35

I knew SolidK from a few years ago. Gave it a new try today because I was looking for a Debian with KDE Plasma fit for desktop use. Tried some. SolidK is the choice. It works, looks good and serious. Some other distros seem to be aimed on school kiddies - but I am a bit older ;-)
I am looking forward to use SolidK. At the moment as my fallback-system. But, who knows...
Thanks for the work on this!

Hello Bodiro
Hope you get to enjoy SolydK as much as I do
These days I do not the change setting like I used if the setting could be well changed I would be changing them and usually after too many changes my system would collapse definitely not SolydK just me tinkering under the bonnet

Two reasons for that Had to see what that setting does and it seemed like a good idea at the time

but good times have to end and Arjen and Ilu are you glad to hear that
no messing about from me and 9 weeks and no stuff ups yipee
There is one thing I have to warn you about SolydK

after you use it for a while no other distro measures up to it
All other distros are lacking something just not not uh um lost for word

Enjoy SolydK

Hi Redraw!

Yes, I still think, SolydK is the best way to use Debian stable with KDE. And I do not feel, that I have to change a lot in configuration and style. I like it much the way it comes :-)
