Mars from the Netherlands

Hi all!

I'm Marcel (but everybody calls me Mars), and I live in the Netherlands. I have been using Linux since 1997. Started out with Slackware, then Redhat. Have been using and trying out lots of different distro's during those years, and the last couple of years mostly the 'it just works' kind.

So now I'm here... Installed SolydK (haven't been using KDE/Plasma for at least 5 years) on VirtualBox earlier this week. And it feels... uhm... well... solid :-)

And I just reinstalled my laptop with it. Happy me :-)

Regards,

Mars

Welcome to the forum, Mars! Good to see someone that's has followed a similar path to SolydXK.
As you did, I also started with Slackware in the late nineties (not many distros to choose from then). Still keeping the box now. Then followed RedHat (easier, with a 'new' way to manage the packages called RPM...). But the first distribution that 'just worked' for me was Mandrake ver. 7.02. Later Mepis, pure Debian, and now... you see, SolydK. A solid value, no hassles.
Hope to hear from you often.

Eduard.
