Time for an update in the introduction.
After years of using linuxmint, I made the switch to rolling releases such as Manjaro, Arch, Arcolinux ....
The latest one I used was Solus.
But something always went wrong after some updates. That is how I made my decision to return to a stable release.
The direction that ubuntu and linuxmint go is less appealing to me, so I returned to an old love: SolydXK.
I'm not such a huge fan for the plasma desktop so I installed the Xfce-version nightly build(2019-08).
I have removed clamtk and installed with a flatpack 'Melody'(musicplayer).
And i must say it runs really very fast on my desktop, I am happy with my decision to return to a debian-base.
It's not the software that's free; it's you.

It's all about choices, never used quodlibet.

Welcome drum,

I too turned back to solydk because it is stable and solid. I am good at breaking things, and so far solydk has held up to my daily use. I am a KDE plasma fan.
