A little help for translation

Postby ane champenois » 06 Jul 2013 13:11

I'm trying to translate from English to French the different SolydXK-made programs. I have some problem, because I don't understand some functions to traduce, and it is a shame.
I wonder if somebody could help me to understand the philosophy of some functions (in english of course) to help me a little.
Thanks in advance.
They did not know it was impossible so they did it.

About what specifically are you talking about?
Can you give an example?

For example: in update-manager, there are "clear existing list store" and also "add Liststore to Treeview".
I wonder if Listore is a function or a way to say that list were stored...
And in UM I don't know where I can find it

Sounds like different ways to say "stored list".
One of them may be the actual file name of the stored list,
for example, as in the following:
Refracta-7.2......32bit
SolydX-201311..32bit
Manjaro-0.8.7.1-x32

Ah, yes, don't worry.
These are debug lines and don't need to be translated.
If you come across those kind of sentences, just leave them as-is.
I always check translations for "left overs". If they are of a technical nature, I leave them, if not, I'll get back to the translator.
