Schoelje wrote:Did anybody have problems with cups while upgrading?

This is the first time I see it, so it might be a coincidence, but I had to stop cups twice during the upgrade on SolydK64.
If a package needed to restart the cups service it would hand indefinately.

When I stopped cups in a new terminal, the upgrade continued:

Code: Select all

sudo /etc/init.d/cups stop
I've done the upgrade 4 times on 32 bit and cups never wimpered.
Maybe this only affecteds 64bit.

tried the upgrade with UM 2.0.6
i'm not asked to configure grub and grub fails to be properly configured
although the version installed is 2.00.xx, the header at boot is 1.99
boot is interrupted with an "error: file not found" and resumes normally after a few seconds

bliss of ignorance

I just uploaded UM 2.0.8
Tested with SolydK64/32 and SolydX64/32

PAE issue on SolydK32:
INFO Lined added: Setting up linux-headers-3.13-1-486 (3.13.5-1) ... (col=0, row=4554)
INFO Lined added: Examining /etc/kernel/header_postinst.d. (col=0, row=4555)
INFO Lined added: run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/header_postinst.d/dkms 3.13-1-486 (col=0, row=4556)
INFO Lined added: Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 3.13-1-486 (i686) (col=0, row=4558)
INFO Lined added: Consult /var/lib/dkms/vboxguest/4.2.16/build/make.log for more information. (col=0, row=4558)

But continued just the same.

This was the only thing worth mentioning.

I'll test BE/BO later this evening.

Hold to something solid (no pun intended - really! :D  ) ...... I just used UM 2.0.8!

Did the refresh, looked at the packages to be upgraded and the only one showing was UM --> 2.0.9.

Worked just a slick as you like!
